Default Lower ball joint

What is the easiest way to remove/replace lower ball joint without a press?

Remove the knuckle yourself and take it to a shop to have the old ball joint pressed out and the new one pressed in.

yes.... that lower balljoint is a PITA!!!!!! at least it was on my old 94 EG!
to take it out it had a snap ring you had to remove from the bottom and then had to drive it out with a BFH and do the reverse to put it back in. but if you dont have a table vise dont even try it! it sucks!
but if you do it yourself to make it alittle easier to install the new one then put the balljoint in ur freezer for awhile, the cold helps shrink the metal alittle and ever little bit helps when slamming a balljoint in witha hammer.lol

Heating up the arm where it goes also helps.

a BFH.... go buy one! torch is a simple propane torch cheap, and a bench vise get a vise and bolt it to something heavy
or just take out the whole spindle/knuckle section off the car and just take it into any shop that can press it out and new one in, not sure how much they would charge tho, but just call around and ask before ya go
