are lowering springs good enough?

are lowering springs good enough?
well, i wanted to lower my civic already like 2 inches, and i was just going to get like some eibach lowering springs for like $120-140. is it really worth it to pay so much more for coil-overs if im not going to be doing any real drag or circuit racing?

i just have lowering springs (Tein S-tech) on my DD and love them. Get rid of the wheel gap, little better handinling, and althoguh the ride suffers a bit (little rougher) i'm glad i got them. S-techs are designed for OEM shocks, so if you're JUST getting springs, S-Techs, ftw.

If you ever need to raise the car up again, get coilovers, otherwise lower springs are the way to go. I live in WI so I have winter and snow to deal with, so I raise in winter, lower in summer.

ok, well then i should be fine considering i live in Fl, lol. well thanks. ok, i'm pretty sure i'll just get lowering springs then since i dont have to worry about any crazy climate changes. and they're just so much cheaper.

also, I'd recommend getting new shock-mount bolts before you even start the install (I haven't heard of any problems with the upper/lower lca bolts). There's a very good chance they'll be seized.

thats actually a really good advice. i'll check into it. seeing as lowering it and getting my rims are next on my to do list as soon as i get those dam windows tinted. but i have no moneez right now cuz of mechanical costs on my car and since its close to christmas i gots too much shopping to do.
