need tips plz
Hi,
I bought a used 99 civic ex coupe and i have no idea what the drop is on it.
The previous owner was a jack-smack so i'm not bothering with him.
here's the general info:
-hand-size distance between the ground and bottom of car
-17" rims on rear is a few centimeters from touching the insides of the side-well
with this info, i'm hoping to get some sort of shocks, springs, etc.. that will raise it a few centimeters from present distance, give a long-lasting comfortable ride, without dishing a shiet load of $.
any recommendations on the drop dimension & shocks or springs would be appreciated.
(i plan on spending duckets on new 16" tires, new shocks/springs (depending on suggestions & budget), and alignment so i'm basically fighting my budget. i was hoping to spend $300 shocks/springs + installation $100 (~$30/hr x 3 hrs lbr) + $75 wheel balancing/alignment =~$500...sound about right?)
