new Coilovers?

Default new Coilovers?

I was wondering what i would NEED to change if i got new coilovers?

coilovers usually have the shock-part included. Its all one piece, if I'm not mistaken.

one problem you might run into is that the bolt on your lower control arms in the rear will be seized. Many people just opt to completely replace the rear lower control arm with new ones. Function 7 makes a good reliable set that will last a long time, but they're more expensive than others...

It depends on what coilovers you get. Some come with everything and you pretty much just install it as is. Some you have to use some of the OE parts. What have you been looking at?

Regardless, you do not need to purchase anything new when you buy this kit. You will however need to reuse the bumpstop, dustboot(not necessary though), and the tophats(including all the little hardware pieces incorpoated within it). I would suggest with the Tokico suspension to cut your original bump stops in half before installing. This allows your shocks to have enough travel under hard compression.

I know they arent coilovers. I was also thinking the skunk 2 pro-s but they are a bit more and I'm not really gonna autocross all that much.
