Shocks and Coilovers or Full Coilovers
i have a 98 civic lx.. and i want to slam it..
should i go with a tokico blue shock set and skunk2 coilover kit or go with a full coilover system? has to be new
if shock/coilover what brands are affordable, and if full coilovers which brand? and has anyone had ssk's.. im looking for the rota slipstream replicas or original slipstreams.. which ever is a better deal.. i want a brand new set of rims and tires..
thanks

Depending on how low you're planning on going, tokico blues might not be able to handle the drop.
If you want to be tucking half of your tire, I'd suggest KONI yellows and Ground Control coilovers; it's a very popular combination for a reason.
As far as sleeves vs. "full" coilovers, unless you're going to be seriously autocrossing the car, I see no reason to go for full coilovers when sleeves and good struts will do the same job.

the only reason to go full coilovers is if you are doing any kind of racing.
that being said, i would go get a set of GOOD shocks and some coilover springs. like reaper suggested the koni yellow with ground control coilovers is an awesome setup. I recommend the ground control coilovers as some of the best ones out there. As for the shocks, I have KYB AGX and they are awesome as well, but I don't know how well they will match with the ground controls.
sorry if this seems like a big run on sentence. i've been drinking

If you're tucking tire on all four wheels with the standard spring-rates, count on blowing the AGX's. Ask me how I know

I'd recommend ordering Ground Controls straight from Ground Control's website. As far as konis, I couldn't tell you... maybe another member could chime in? You could probably have konis ordered at a local shop, though.

i have always trusted tire rack, ive used them myself a couple of times. I have never used the other two sites, but i've heard good things about them
