Are you looking for performance shocks or are you looking for OEM-like shocks from a nice aftermarket brand?

He is asking if you want OEM suspension (stock), something a little more sportier than stock (which will allow you to install a springs to lower the car just a little, or use OEM springs), or if you want to get coilovers and drop/slam the car. BTW, automatic trans has nothing to do with suspension.

At least, that's what I got out of it. If you decide you want stock suspension, I have a set of stock struts and springs from my 98. Don't even own the car anymore, so I want them gone.

its all going to depend on if you are wanting to lower the car too add to the look of it or if you just want to ride stock height. if your not going to lower it i would say just go to your local parts store and check out what they offer with a lifetime warranty. and those will even work if you do a mild drop nothing like tucking tires or anything. i am using O'Rileys "sensatrac" struts currently on my hatch and they ride nice besides the fact that i am sitting way too low for them and bottoming them out. but those should work fine for you and i paid like $45 for each
