Actually, some 17-inch wheels weigh more than 20 lbs - that can be more than 5 lbs over stock and yes, ride and stopping power will suffer to some extent.
15-lbs is highly unlikely for a $100 17-inch wheel. I'd guess that they are more like 18 lbs each.

haha i love my fenders but ya i was gonna get those rims in bronze but they only had 18s but i stuck with 17s 18s is like having a truck on 26s lol they look too big lol
