Default OEM Si strut bar fitment?

I'm about to buy a 2000 Si OEM front upper strut bar from a guy locally. I'm asuming this will fit my 99 EX, but I was looking at some Si engine bay pics and it looks like the mounting points are different. It seems like it doesn't attach to the upper strut mounting bolts but rather sits further up the strut tower. Am I going to have to drill holes or something? I'm sitting at work now so I can't go out and check, but I am pretty sure the holes are not there

here are a couple pics:

It looks like at worst you going to have to drill, there seems to be 2 impressions where the SI OEM strut bar bolts into in your vehicle but they are not drilled out. I'm gonna say that you most likely will have to drill those out.

Yeah, defintely have to drill, but it shouldn't be too hard of a job. If the price on the strut bar is good enough, I'd say go for it.

he wants 45 bucks, no shipping obviously.

Do you guys think this would be more/less effective than the kind that attaches to the strut mounts?

PSH! For 15 more bucks you could get a set of all four like mine. And THAT would handle better than the single one on top. Just a thought..

I really have no factual answer to your question, sorry.

yeah, I know what my options are..... if the only advantage to this one is that it clears a b-series engine, I won't pursue it (the guy might be selling it to a friend anyway so it may not be for sale anymore)
