Default possible rubbing in my future

lowering is still in the distant future for me, probably about a year or less, but from the look of my rims/tires, it seems like I can't go very far. I mean the lip of the fender looks like its directly paralell to my tire's lip. So therefore, if I drop more then 1" or so, it's gonna be rubbing all day long.

Even more if I hit a speed bump or otherwise it's gonna bounce up and hit that lip.

Is there something I am not considering here? I mean maybe my wheel offset is wrong, or something? I really want a 1.5" drop with some form of dampening power still there. I want a good set of shock/spring combos that will not only drop but improve the overall handling, even at the expense of a slightly rougher ride, and I really don't want to put but about 500 into the pot. Should I be swapping out rims for a different offset, or cutting my fenders or something?

Currently I am running 16x7 inch 40 offset with 205/40 ZR16's.

I will get a pic up in a sec.

Well she has the camera in the car with her, I will have to get 1 later tonight.

4th option down that page.. are those the tokico blues I keep hearing about, or what? I am trying to figure out what set to focus my attention to. I saw the tein springs online, I can pick up a set of them to throw on the shocks. Just reading up about this stuff. Lowering is new to me.
