Default pressure: door sticker or sidewall?

My tires are the same size as stock and they recommend 44 psi, but my car recommends 30f/29r.

Which of these should I follow, or should I go in between?

Are there advantages in performance/fuel economy by going one way or the other?

Door jam should be the minimum psi to run, and normally what you should run... That 44psi is probably the max on the tires, so don't go beyond that.

I don't go off the sticker unless they are same brand and model as the oem tires. I always look at the max on the tire and go from there. In my car I run 34 psi right now, do about 30 in summer.

At Acura we do 36 on suvs for winter, 34 for cars in winter. 34 for suvs in isummer, 32 for cars in summer. So around there is a good estimate.

I do 40 because it makes not having power steering a little less noticeable.
