since this is the same question i would like to ask, i do not want to start another thread. I am currently running on HX rims and the tire size is 185/65-14 . i would like to go with some either 195/65-14 or 195/60-14. according to trustdestruction and the tiresizecalculator, i should run on 195/60-14 tire so my speedometer would be closer to normal speed, am i correct? and 195/60-14 will for sure fit on the HX rims with tire size 185/65-14, am i correct? what would the difference be between 185/65-14 and 195/60-14. will the 195's be too meaty trying to go as low pro as possible.

Also, anyone had any experience with general tires, want to get some but don't know how they perform, never even heard of the, these are the ones i am looking at because it has some pretty good rating .http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=3

they should fit, and i don't think lowering will be a problem since they're 195s. I'm on 205s and i'm lowered. I had to roll my fenders just a little to keep it from rubbing on dips and turns, but since you'll be on 195s i don't think you'll have to roll them.

going on a certain tire size also depends on availability. i don't think it'll be a problem on 14 inch rims though. I want to go a tiny bit smaller on my tires, but they don't really make any that much. I have 17s though so that's probably why.

when i switch from oem's 185/65-14 to 195/60-14, what would be different? also, should i go with 195/60-14 or 195/65-14? I hoping to get these tires, http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=3 , any experience with the brand general? has good reviews on tire rack, that is why i am considering them, but i have not heard of them before.

they will have a wider tread than stock, so you'll have increased handling and grip.
go with whichever whose overall tire diameter is closest to your stock tire size. i think that would be the 195/60-14
what is the tire brand you're talking about? the link doesn't work, i think it's because you have to put in your car info during the search.

get the 195/60-14s. There should be nothing wrong with using those.

they're not that incredibly great, they're had quality control issues with weight balancing. which can be corrected by a good balancing, but is still not that great for a large tire distributor.

wow that sucks.. i just ordered some base on the reviews by tire rack and review that other people left for that tire. they all had positive comments and none had a problem with them.

I ordered the tires from treadepot.com seems like a legit site called their customer service and someone answered and answered my questions. they are competitively priced (same price as tire rack) and on top of that free shipping, which tire rack does not provide. anyone had experience with treadepot.com?
