Question Rack & Pinion troubles on 94 Civic

I'm replacing the rack & pinion on my civic, and aside from autozone screwing me over with incompatible parts I only have one problem. When I disconnected the steering joint from the pinion gear, I noticed there are no markings or notches to indicate how it goes back on. My question is this; how do I connect it back up so the rack is centered and the wheel is back to center?

1994 Civic DX, 4DR with manual trans and power steering

Thanks in advance
