I would like to swap the rear drum brakes for disc breaks like the front. Anyone ever seen/done this? if so any pointers? and any idea on the price? also, what would be a quality disc break to put on (both front n back)?

 

It can be done, although I've never done it myself. Check Brembo out.

 

brembos like SUPER expensive though right? my buddy said he was lookin at em, $1200 for 2 discs for the front

 

Yes, Brembo is very expensive......but good quality.

 

if you have a eg, you can use the rear disc from a teg

 

I saw an AEM rear disc brake conversion for sale on ebay once for $900.

 

I bought mine for a $100. You get the 'teg trailing arms with the whole set-up + proportioning valve + e-brake cables. Don't get one w/o cables as they are a pain to find and take off. I will be installing it within two weeks, but it doesn't seem too complicated. Doing coilovers and shocks at the same time.
