Just a general question for all you civic gurus. Is the ride (bumpy or smooth) of a civic depedent most on the springs or shocks?

my ride isn't running so smooth.. what are some coilover that rides well but not too pricy?..

 

Well, if your ride is going shi**y and you've got stock suspension, it's most likely worn out struts. Springs take a lot of abuse to wear them out.

 

Well, my struts are only a few years old and they are not stocks.... and my coilovers-I bought them very cheap on ebay. So as you said ealier...it must be my coilovers... I want to find the right pairs of coilover that will atleast give me a ride as smooth as if the stocks were on.

 

I wouldn't get coilover sleeves again. If you're looking for a drop with a fairly smooth ride, look at Tein S-techs. They'll run you less than $150 shipped on eBay.

 

It'll be nice to just get springs......but living in a state where you have snow and you can only afford one car...LOL...
a coilover would be handy for both seasons eh?

 

A good set of coilovers will run at least $350+ .. im going to go with Tein Coilovers with Dampening Kit.

 

yeah, i prolly shoulda gone coils, cuz of the snowboarding season...it's gonna be a pain to drive up the mtn with a lowered civic now. HAHA
