Default Speed Bump Question

I'm 18.. in high school.. and of course there are speed bumps.. what's the lowest i could drop my 1997 hatchback? Would S-techs work? I am just concerned about damaging the front.. :-/

you can go even lower than that. you just have to be careful and slow over speed bumps.

speed bumps are usually 3" in length... I have my civic with 4 inches clearance and i dont scrape without slowing down.

without any body kit or front lip, you can lower it about 3-4 maybe depending on the speed bump, but you don't want it that low, when i was in high school, i had mine lowered about 2.5 inches with a front lip (-3 in. of clearance), so you should be fine as long as you take it easy.

and i might add, i think it's hilarious when people that know nothing of cars go out and get their car lowered, and then think that driving over the speed bump diagonally will help not scrape your car.
