Default Strut Bar

Gonna put in my Tenzo front strut bar, do I just unscrew the nut off the bolt, put the strut bar on, then tighten the nuts back on? Someone told me I need to support the car so the suspension doesn't drop when I take the nuts off those strut bolts? Do I need to torque it?
