If you don't want to take extra precautions when pulling out of parking lots or driveways, I highly recommend the combo I bought - Eibach springs and shocks. They lowered my car 1.5 inches so that there is now only a small gap between the top of the tires and the wheel opening lip. It's not slammed, but I can fly over parking lot exit dips without a problem. With 16-inch wheels and 205/45/16 tires, the ride is still good with the added benefit of much sharper steering and handling.

Adjustable shocks are great because you can adjust the stiffness of them, and the comfort of your ride. It's great because you can adjust them to your preferences.

I'd rather have high-quality non-adjustable shocks than cheap adjustables. My MX6 GT had electronically adjustable shocks from the factory. I rarely changed their setting since the "normal" setting was just fine for me. When it came time to replace them, I bought the non-adjustable KYBs and they are perfect. I guess if you track your car every other weekend, having adjustable shocks might be helpful, but I read an article by Lou Gugliotti of LG Motorsports that springs and shocks should be adjusted together, if at all. If you can adjust only one, you can actually end up with handling that is worse than what it was before the adjustment.

How are KYBs cheap adjustables?
They're middle-of-the-pack.

well the main reason I recommended adjustable ones is so that you can set them to how you want them to feel. If you buy regular shocks and they're too soft for you or too stiff, you're screwed and stuck with them

Ideally, shocks should be matched to the springs so you can set adjustables to whatever firmness you like but they could easily be mismatched for certain types of driving. This is why Lou G. doesn't like adjustable coilovers - too easy to mess up the ideal combination.

Well i can guarantee that the KYB AGXs and H&R sport springs go well together. If you put the shocks on settings 2 or 3, the handling and ride is pretty nice. I think someone else on here has the same combo and likes them too, but I can't remember who.
