well there is no idea to how long your struts can last..... theres a chance they will last along time.... or they could fail tomorow before ya ever do the swap... old used struts is just that old and used......
if your worried about them posibly then just spend the extra cash and buy new ones. i used some of these when i did my stecs...

I’ve seen this choice passed around many times, it definitely sounds like a good cheap choice in the future…. That’s a nice drop you got out of your 99black civic, I believe the tokico gave you an extra inch on that drop??. Anyways thanks for the advice, ill definitely look forward to it. Anyone know if coilovers could also be a choice on this tokico HP series?
