Default time for new struts??

hey guys i've had my eibach springs on stock struts for exactly a year now and i've been noticing when i'm driving with no tunes on that all 4 of my struts are making noises...not squeaky but you can definitely hear them working...i'm wondering if it's time for some new struts...i'm not sure how to check them if they need to be changed or not but I would be under the assumption that they've never been changed in 7 years, plus with the strain of the new springs I think it'd be best to get some new ones anyways...

Any help on the situation would be appreciated and what kind of struts would be best for my eibach pro kit set up? i can spend upwards of $500 on struts but it'd be nice to spend around $200 or something for a good set...thanks guys!

After a lot of research I am getting Eibach ProKits with Tokico Illuminas - very well-recommended set up. I understand Koni Reds are just a bit less cost but I think they are not adjustable unless you take them off the car.

I just got off the phone with one of my car dealer dudes up here and he has the eibach pro kit with tokico blues and highly recommended it to me...he quoted me a price of $177 for the fronts and $95 for the rears...what do you guys think of that? overall is $272...what I might do is find some Fronts that are cheaper though...the rears are a killer deal...I think i'm gonna go with the blues just because i trust the dude i'm working with...should i install them myself? or should i get it installed by him? costing around 85 bones and hour for a 2 hour job he said, plus an alignment at $84...

you should rent a spring compressor and do it yourself...it might seem intimidating, but its actually purty easy

a buddy and I put fronts and rears on my 00 civ in about 2.5 to 3 hours...not bad for some first timers
