Default tire pressure???

i just bought a set of 17" flik wasp wheels for my '00 coupe. they look amazing! they came with hankook k106 tires already mounted & aired up. i checked the pressure of all four of them and it was like 40psi. is this way too much pressure for the tires?

look at the sidewall. it should have the recommended PSI on it.

12 years working for Les Schwab (the nations largest independant tire dealer)......put the tire manufacturer's recomended air pressure in the tire. Not what your buddie says......the tire will last, and perform better. It will however ride a bit rough....the price you pay for a low profile performance radial.

3 months experience at NTB (national tires and bateries) at houston: if it said 40psi, put 35-40 is good...
high performance tires have high *** psi, so dont freak out. lloll just look on the side wall. I used to have problem looking for recommended PSI
