tire question for 16x7?

Default tire question for 16x7?

well, i know this is civic forum, but my wifes car has 195/55/15 tires now, and she just got some 16"x7 wheels. what tires could i go with that would keep speedometer close? 215/40/16 or 205/45/16 or other suggestion?

I could be wrong but the closer you stay to the inital hight profile the better for the speedo...so the 45 series....you might be able to havethe speedo adjusted to whatever you get tho so look into that too...they do it on trucks but i dont know about hondas

Well, I got bored and I checked the tire size calculator. Go with the 205/45-16's. They're almost a perfect match with the stock rims (less than 1% difference).
