Default Tire suggestions?

I'm looking to buy the Buddy Club P1 II Plus Wheel (15 x 7 or 17 x 7.5) (Can't decide)

(Here's a link so you can check it out http://www.kingmotorsports.com/category.aspx?cat=14)

But since I got some stock 14 inch wheels & tires, I'll need some new tires.

I'm a newbie when it comes to cars so does anyone have any suggestions?

Links are always nice...

i would not recommend 17x7.5 wheels. depending on the offset, they will rub. a 15x7 wheel will be perfect for performance and looks. and a good choice in wheels btw. as for tires, check out the tire review thread in the suspension section, and check ratings and reviews on tirerack.com or something.

Yeah I wanted the 15 x 7s too. First of all, I didn't want to pay for low profile wheels. And second, there is no seconds... =)

I would stick with either 15s or 16s, especially to keep the weight down. Always know the weight of the wheels you are interested in. Anything below 14 lbs should be great. Regarding tires, if you want the best tires, look no further than Goodyear GSD3s. Unfortunately, their only 15-inch tire is a 195/50/15, which would lower your ride by a small amount (195/55/15 is the recommended size to match the overall diameter of the stock wheel/tire combo).

If you are a bit short of money, look at Avon tires. The Tirerack carries them and they are both good-performing and low-priced. They are almost certainly better than Kuhumos and Sumitomos.

The recommended 16-inch size is 205/45/16.
