Hey all,

I just bought a used 2005 Civic Ex with 68,000 miles on it. The tires are very bad and need replaced. Can you give me a good tire that I can buy that is GREAT quality and performance but not necessarily the most expensive? I guess I am asking for the best buy, but not if it means having a crappy tire. I deal with Atlantic Tire in Durham (RTP)....Thanks!

 

you should check out tirerack.com for the reviews, 2 tires that have a high reviews that i actually use is General Altimax HP that is on my civic right now, i like the tread pattern and its smooth and quiet. I think i got mines for $54 per tire in 195/60-14. The other one that i have is on a Celica is the Bridgestone Potenza RE960 which have just as good of reviews as the General Altimax HP, Again i like the quietness and the smoothness, and the ride quality of the Potenza's. But these are a bit more expensive got this for about $80 per tire, in tire size 195/60-15.

Also i recommend getting tires from discounttires.com. the tires are pretty well priced and can be installed at your local discount tires/ america tire.

 

I really like my Falken Ziex ZE-512 tires. Discounttiredirect.com has them for sale for like ~$225 for a full set. (free shipping I think)
