tokico hp/h&r springs
I have a 2000 si and Im thinking of going with tokico hp shock/struts with H&R sport springs. Will that work alright? Will the drop I get be basically whatever the spring is supposed to give me (1.6" I think) even with the tokico shocks? Anyone with some experience with this combination feel free to make some suggestions or comments. Thanx!

RE: tokico hp/h&r springs
they'll work.
but for the money, you could probably get a slightly better setup at a slightly higher cost.
is saving money you're objective?
that setup is about $500 - $600. you could get a full coilover system or koni yellows and those same H&R springs.
koni yellows pwn on teh race track, if you get a good spring combination.

RE: tokico hp/h&r springs
saving money is a little bit of a concern but the difference between the koni yellow's and the tokico hp's is close to $300. I'm not one to skimp on a part to save some petty cash but Im also not trying to create a race car, just something fun to drive around town. I would just go with springs but I know they arent great on the stock shocks and I'll probably end up replacing them a little ways down the road anyway. I really just want a quality shock and spring combo that will give me about a 1.5" drop and not have to spend a ton on it.
links to different shocks.

it's obvious your either serious, or semi-serious about performance which usually means you'll want something better down the road.
pay a little more and at least get the tokico illumina adjustable shocks.
and you may also want to get threaded coilovers that can lower or raise your ride height up to 4 inches. skunk2 and ground control are pretty famous for their versions.
search around and you can probably get this set up for about $600 - $700. not dirt cheap but not sooper expensive.
