Upgrading from stock to 17's
I have 14" rims with the honda caps stil on them, and I just got a set of 17's. My car is dropped 1.5", hopefully they fit without rubbing so I wont have to change the heigth, but I was wondering if it was necessarry for my to get a different brake system. Do I need to go with a big brake conversion, or will my stock brakes still give me the stopping power I need on the bigger wheels?

No you don't need a big break kit unless you plan on tracking but otherwise it's a huge waste of money. You won't have any problems with rubbing but if you have a camber kit it is best you check the camber when you get bigger wheels to see if you have to adjust it again.

You dont have to get bigger bakes but it looks alot better when your brakes fill up that space...there are a few compaines that make oversized rotors for stock calipers...might want to look into them next time you replace rotors

I have 17" wheels with about a 1.8 drop. I dont have any rubbing issues, only if you drive really fast over big speed bumps or somthing. And you dont need to upgrade or brakes or anything. Just slap them on and go.
