Default Used tokico shocks and neuspeed race springs

I just found an ad on craigslist for a set of used " tokico blue shocks with neuspeed racing springs." It says they have less than 2k miles on them and the asking price is $200.

sounds like a deal to me, but the specs for neuspeed race springs have a 2.25F/1.75R drop and i was not planning on lowering my car that much.

what do you think? should i not worry about the drop OR would it be worth it anyway to buy these shocks/springs for $200 and get springs of my choice later?

It depends on the current condition of your suspension. If you have worn struts or think you need a new setup, that one seems decent enough for a short term setup... I'd save up more though if I were you, try to get something a little nicer.

i'd never buy used shocks/springs from someone i dont know personally. springs u can prolly get away with but shocks are iffy at best. even if its only 2k miles, u dunno how hard they were driven on, the roads they were driven on, if their about to blow, if their leaking, shaft is messed up, etc..

well right now I have a stock suspension and I was looking into upgrading. I though tokicos were considered to be decent...what would you consider to be "a little nicer"?

Koni Yellows, Tokico Illuminas, etc. Do a search on this forum, this question has been answered. I have the Tokico Blues on my car, and they work just fine, they just aren't the most performance oriented shocks, I'll be upgrading next summer.

that drop will be fine... I'd do it the other way around: buy the setup now; replace the shocks when they blow, keep the springs
