Default Wider Tires

I was wondering if body kits were made for a 97 LX that would allow the use of much wider tires over the stock tire size of 185? Thanks.

they make fender flares which require you to cut the entire inlining fender to take full advantage of the space. but with that, there comes offset problems if you go too far. because on top of all of the unsprung and rotational weight, you'll have the majority of the weight located way off center causing a lot of stress on the suspension components. so only go to a certain degree.

plenty of body kits and fender flares around... you could also look to body shops for a custom job but they are pretty pricey. 235 is a nice size and wont require too extreme of a fender modification... 7.5" wheel at a minimum. Id remommend an 8" wheel myself.

Alright, does anyone have personal experience with a body kit in particular? Or know a place that has the kits I need for a relatively good price?

Also, would I maybe be able to lower the car still?

chop ur fenders a little and flare them urself with some sheet metal and repaint. it'll prolly be cheaper than buying a whole body kit and having to repaint most of ur car. not to mention may look better too.

do you have a particular tire brand/model and size in mind, is what I'm asking, juat want to make sure you're attempting something that is actually possible. What do you plan to do with the car that requires such wide tires?
