Angry Wobble Issue

On my way home Friday from work I hit a piece of metal shaped like a V that was in the middle of the road and ultimately unavoidable by the time I saw it.. in doing so I slashed a good 2" hole in my front passenger inside tire wall. Tire went flat instantly and I pulled over, put my spare on, and drove home (approx. 2 miles).

With absolutely no money in my bank account my father helped me out and found 2 185/70R14 tires for $10 each.. however they are mismatched brands - but they had more tread on them then my current front tires. I had them installed this morning for a temporary fix until I can get some new tires on the front. However, driving into work this morning anything above 15mph I feel a wobble in the steering wheel and the car vibrates. Could this be because of the mismatched brand / tread wear? Or could there be something worse?

maybe you bent a rim. When my front rim was bent my steering wheel wobbled a lot past 30mph, but you could always feel it.

Also check to see if anything got messed up in the suspension front and rear.

Yeah, I talked to my father today and told him that the car shakes now and he said that they might not have balanced them properly and that I should bring it back to the shop and have them re-do it.

I agree with all that has been said. Also consider that the wheels are simply way out of balance.
