Default 2002 auto trans woes..

Hi, I'm a new member and appreciate the wealth of knowledge here. I have an 02 lx and have removed the wasted automatic transmission(imaging that) and am ready to install its replacement. I'm also installing the suggested aftermarket trans cooler and want to install it downstream of the OEM cooler/radiator. My question is, what is the direction of flow for the fluid? The 2 metal pipes/tubes (from the trans to the OEM cooler/radiator) are both black in color and have no obvious marks pertaining to direction of flow. From which pipe/tube does the trans fluid exit the transmission and which is the return? I've searched the WWW and have come up empty. I believe the transmission is identified as a "bmxa" unit. Thanks in advance for any and all help, WW.
