Is there much difference between the 4 and the 5 speed? Is it easy to swap a 5 speed tranny in there.....and what 5 speed would be best?

 

the 4spd is geared like the crx hf tranny but with the 3.88 dx final drive. the tranny is complete crap IMO, highway rpms are close to the same as an si tranny so you really dont save much gas while cruising down the freeways. any 88-91 5spd tranny will bolt right up, differences being the input shaft spline count. it is best to use the si tranny if your after acceleration.
