Default Added synchromesh still grinds

I read in an earlier post that someone tried GM Synchromesh fluid in there transmission and it pretty much eliminated their grinding issue. I wasn't so lucky. Anywho my worst fear is confirmed that my 3rd gear synchro is ****. I was wondering if anyone also knew if it is possible to take the final drive off of a 90-93 Accord and put it in the YS1 tranny. I would like to be around 2500 rpm instead of 3000 at 60 mph for better mileage.

Default RE: 89 civic tranny question?

I wasn't sure if it was a standard or not but now I am a 100 percent sure it was at one time a STD model because whoever did the swap kept the original shift **** and it only has a driver's side rear view. Thanks
