Default GM Synchromesh Transmission Fluid

I had a problem with my second gear on my d16y7. So after talking to some people. I went to a GM dealer and got GM synchromesh which is a synthetic fluid. I did a change and at first I couldnt tell a difference. But then I realized that my second gear wasent cruching anymore. In the cold it used to be REALLY bad but its pretty much un-noticealbe now. If you type in "GM synchromesh" in google you will see this product being talking about everywere. On nissan, honda, dsm,gm, subaru, acuraect...ect...ect forums. Its everywere.

I give it 10 out of 10. I will always use this stuff. Had it in for half a year or more now.

Default RE: GM synchromesh tranny fluid

i bought some synchromesh from Advance Auto and put it in myself.

it was a messy, kucklebusting operation but worth it.

unlike what many old school mechanics say, you do need to change transmission fluid in manual trannies every 50,000 miles or so.

but good lord, get a friend to help when you do, because its a PITA.
