Default Auto trans & supercharger

I have a '99 EX with auto trans. 70K miles. I would like to add a JRSC. I don't want to start a turbo vs. SC debate - or - a auto vs. manual debate.....

Will I blow the trans if it isn't modified? (I don't want to change it out as it is my daily driver in the congested [:@] Chicago suburbs, I just want it FASTER)

Has anyone here actually DONE this?

with just the s/c kit and nothing changed, it will be perfectly fine for a daily driver.

I am NOT trying to flame you, but is this from experience or best guess?

Just from general knowledge of engines and forced induction. Its practically made to be a bolt up and go system... no further upgrades needed (except some colder spark plugs)

Red91civicDX has a supercharger on his civic, you can PM him or wait and see if he finds this thread. Im running just under 10 lbs of boost on my stock tranny, but its a Toyota.

Actually I don't think he has one on his Civic; just on his Bonny.

Don't worry you can trust Polo. He knows what he's talking about.

I'd guess that a tranny cooler could help....

maybe keep an eye open for an extra tranny, cause the extra power will eventually kill it, and if you have a lot of time, you can probably get a sohc auto tranny for less than 50 bucks. and a tranny cooler is a great idea.

Well if it makes you feel better Ive had an hour and a half conversation on the phone with Red91civicDX and he was telling me that a S/C is perfect for daily drivers and n00bs combined with auto tranny's. He also said that I wouldnt really need an intercooler or tach. He did say I would need a boost gauge which is perfect because they make em small so I can get one of those bracket sthat go into my dash gauge (the one that fits over and has two slots for 2 1/16 inch meters) and also have a battery guage put in too. Itll look great. Here is a pick of what it looks like.
