Automatic to Manual Swap
I've been considering doing a GSR swap for a while now on my 94 LX sedan. What I've decided so far is that im gonna do all the work myself. I'm pretty sure i can handle taking the motor apart and putting in the pistons and rods. I could install the motor too. I wanted to know how hard a automatic to manual swap is gonna be? The transmission is gonna come with the motor cause im gonna buy a complete swap. But my car right now is an automatic and i wanna get a manual. The swap is still a while off, im thinking its gonna go down in the summer time assuming i get the money for the motor + internals. But i gotta do all the research way beforehand. I don't wanna start working and find out that im gonna have tranny problems.
I've been lookin around the net and the forum for a couple days now and i haven't been able to find any real info. I've figured out that im gonna need a new set of pedals, clutch M.C. and such. I'm also gonna need some sort of bracket/mount from Hasport and i know its gonna be a PITA to do. BUt thats really it. So if anyone has any good info, i would really appreciate it.
i want to do the same thing, so anyhelp from anyone would be good, cause i have no idea how much this is going to set me back... hopefully not as much as my gut tells me it is going to[:'(]
Here's a post that I made last year.

My civic is gonna be my project car for the next couple years. My dads gonna get the body fixed (pics coming) from a shop im working at during winter break. During spring break im gonna prep and prime the car to be painted and have it painted then finish it (wet sand). Im gonna do all the work my self. I'm already gonna get a GSR swap and rebuild the motor (once i find a damn job) so im thinking that swapping the tranny shouldn't be that hard especially since im gonna be changing the drivetrain anyway. Looks like im gonna need the pedal assembly off manual car and this elusive mount. (im hoping to be able to buy and start rebuilding the motor by June)
im trying to do the same thing, but i have no clue how to go about doing this...lol,if i get a motor that is already manual would I be able to put that in my car, and just have to cut into the floorboard to get the clutch threw? if anyone has any idea, post it..
