Default axle help PLEASE.... how do you know when they are bad?

like can you test the axles with them off the car? i just pulled the motor/tranny outta my 94 and it was HELL geting those axles off!!!!! just one problem after another! and im worried that i overstretched them...
i didnt tear the boots....

but since i went thru THIS MUCH HELL removing them im thinking about replacing them if i cannt figure out if they are bad.. only downfall is $$$$$$
i havent pulled the motor/tranny apart yet but im HOPING the clutch is good and reusable! that way ill just replace the throw out bearing and anything else that doesnt look that good...

If the cv boots are torn or it clicks when you drive/turn they are bad

im just not sure if you can overstretch them while removing them...
id rather not put the replacement motor into the car and then find out a messed up the axles removing them...

That's on the blue car you just bought?

Anyway. I doubt that you could stretch them. They're just going to fall into places when you put em back there, as for the boots, stretch em as much as you can and look for cracks. Not holes, just cracks. If there are no cracks they're still good.
