Default clutch change

Ok now i am changing the clutch in my b16 and have a question. I know you have to pull the passenger side axle out of the tranny, but do i have to pull the driver side axle and intermediate shaft of just pull the axle out of the intermediate shaft?

I pulled out both axels on my z6 just because you know for a fact you wont hurt anything that way a step of precaution saves a bundle.

ok but on the driver side did you pull out the entire drive shaft from the tranny or just the axle and leave the drive shaft connected to the tranny?
