well just pulled my motor/tranny apart and at least its not close to the rivets... but wondering how much life ya think it still has?
since i havent seen another clutch im hoping you guys can help me out... and REMEMBER pictures are VERY LARGE so i wont put them up but only put down links to them...

I didn't even look at the pictures and i can tell ya, if you don't know and you have the tranny off... replace it simple as that

 

well i know it looks ALOT beter than the one on the motor i bought that they guy removed! BIG TIME ... its not down to the rivets... i just dont know how thick they are new....

im trying to save alittle here if its not worn that bad! i dont plan on realy racing it hard but i will Faround with it alittle bit... but mostly just easy shifting....

 

well dang..... guess ill just have to take it to the dealership and ask to see a new clutch....
i never thought it would be such a untouched topic... about clutches...

 

it looks pretty decent, but i would still replace it. it could have gotten oil or trans fluid on the surface and it could slip, then you have to spend 5+ hours replacing it when you could have just spent 100 bucks or less on a new one.

its your choice. it does look like it has some decent life left in it tho.

 

can you get a pic of the pressure plate and flywheel i want to see a pic of the pressure plate flipped over

 

sorry pictures not great... but i will clean it up with some brake cleaner ....
and the pressure plate looks all good.... no bent feet no scratches... dad just said take some 400grit sandpaper on the presure plate and flywheel just to clean up the surface alittle...

and well i FINALY got the sockets i needed today for the flywheel bolts and clutch BUT i cannt get the freaken clutch alignment tool.... AWWWWWW need to post a need alignment tool thread realy quick..... anyone got one laying around you can overnight me thru USPS? paypal ready....

 

I'd change that pressure plate, I don't like the look of the face. You'd probably need to have your flywheel resurfaced too!

Buy a kit you'll get an alignement tool. I have one but It's not mine! And I'd keep it too...

 

yea i think u should change that pressure plarte you got quite a bit of wear there, you wouldent want the teeth breakin on ya.also i got a question for ya, im changing my clutch this weekend and just want to know the eaisest way to get it out and what to look out for, like when putin the main bearing in and stuff. do you recomend pullin tha whole tranny out, i want to try to get it done in a day but im pretty sure thats not gunna happen lol thanks
