Default Clutch Pedal

So I am on my second pedal assembly...My clutch pedal keeps breaking at the pivot point on the assembly??
I have a 88 civic, with 5 speed tranny...the clutch is a manual meaning it is controlled by a cable. I am thinking I have something miss aligned but not sure what??? Or do I get a used assembly from the junk yard that was on it way out...
This happen to anyone before....Any suggestions

The fact that it's engaged and disengaged by a cable doesnt mean anything, it means just that. It's that or hydraulic. I have an 89 and could probably help you troubleshoot the problem with more information. I mean, obviously, it depends on what is happening when you press the clutch and where the force is going when you push the clutch. Follow it and use the laws of physics to figure it out. And if you want to be absolutely sure that you're not getting a bogus part, go to the dealer. ... I know this seems like common sense stuff, but that's because it is.

I can probably take some pictures for you for reference if you need it. Let me know.

Thanks for the offer to help...
I am not really sure where to look...I push the clutch pedal, the cable moves freely, and pulls up on the pivot on the tranny...not sure what the connection to the tranny is called.
I have watched the pedal while pushing the clutch in, and it looked like all the force is on the pedal causing it to bend slightly down towards the firewall. Then after the daily use of using the clutch, the pedal assembly finally gives out. .
A couple of questions...should I be able to move the clutch pivot by hand at the tranny...meaning pull up where the cable meets the tranny?? I am not able to move this at all, but it moves very freely when I have someone push on the clutch (while I watch). My thinking is that maybe something is wrong with the clutch itself in the tranny and I am having to use excess force to move it, causing much stress on the pedal.
Another thought was that if I have the cable routed wrong thought he engine compartment?? I pulled the valve covers about 6 months ago, and could not remember exactly how all the "clips" that hold the cable went. I put it back in what looked like it was good...no kinks, no stress points.
What other information would help me telling you???? I am new to cable clutch..my truck is hydraulic clutch.

Pictures might help...then I see how you route you cable and how your clutch assembly is adjusted...

The picture describes how to adjust your clutch.
