Do I need intermediate shafts?

Do I need intermediate shafts from a manual if I'm converting from auto to manual? Almost every part list I looked at didn't list them, but I recently stumbled upon one that did...

Civic donâ€™t use intermediate shaft.. what tranny you plan using?

D-series transmissions don't use intermediate shafts

I'm putting it an D16Y8 tramission...I'm converting from the dreaded CVT (98 HX).

Here's the article that said I would need intermediate shafts...The conversion in the article it for a 92 Civic EX.

The motor in the article is B-series. If you were using a B-series engine/tranny, you would need an intermediate shaft

I've got a D16Y5 w/ VTEC-E will there be any problem with my new Y8 tranny and P2P ECU?
