It wouldn't matter which gear you're in, but have you taken it beyound third in the same manner? There's more stress on the clutch the higher the gear...

i have driven a civic on a lift before, and both tires spin. it has to have of resistance to make only one spin. somethings wrong if only one does.

yes like 5th on interstate at any speed, you gas on it it goes good or 4th

Yeah, he's saying both spin, but he can stop one of them easily with his hands, which is perfectly normal.

ONE DONT SPIN IT STARTS AND STOPS KINDA CATCHES AND STOPS CATCHES AND STOP OVER AND OVER WHILE IN GEAR

It's kind of really hard to get what you're trying to say. Try using punctuation and TURN YOUR CAPS OFF DUDE.

My friend has a Jetta that slipped in 3rd and a lil in 4th, he got the clutch adjusted and it was fine.

you can test a clutch by going in second gear speed, and reving it up and dumping it in 4th. not recomended, but if it grips, its good.

was it a brand new clutch and did you break it in right?
