Default Faster transmission

I have a 95 civic DX sedan. Well as i heard it's engine is pretty crappy to begin with, and its a SOHC none vtec. I want to know what can i do to make it shift gears a little faster and smother. It doesnt shift hard, i think the mounts are in okay condtion, its a little rough when shifting to reverse. When trying to go from 1st to snd and 3rd, its a drag at times. My car is stock right now, i just ordered a AEM SRI intake also. Oh, and what exactly is differential?

Thanks.

get a short shifter...while B&M makes one of the best on the market...i prefer the ebay short shifters.....they are only about $20 shipped and they do a really great job....

it is one of the parts that allows power to go from the tranny to the wheels. try searching both here, and on after market parts sites to see what it looks like, where it goes...and all that stuff. its not going to help you shift faster if thats one reason why your asking..but a limited slip diff. will make both wheels turn under acceleration allowing for better acceleration off the line, but will make turning it at low speeds harder, and kinda takes away from the fun in the corners..but not bad...most people that run "LSD's" dont complain, they just mention that its noticeable...but not bad at all...just depends on the style of diff...and condition.

oh...well....as far as i know...your out of luck then...but talk to some good tranny shops...like once that work on race cars...they should be able to give you SOMETHING, maybe not a kit..but they may be able to tell you more about the valving and such.
