manual to auto conversion
Ok, dont laugh at me....but this faithful Honda 5spd owner of 16+ years has come to an agonizing decision....to go automatic.
We can only afford 2 vehicles, we definately need 1 minivan, and my wife needs a compact to drive to work every day. With gas the way it is we just cant afford for her to be driving a minivan to work.
Enter: my 97 Civic. Amazing shape, 180KM. My baby. But it's a 5spd and she just cant learn it.
So, what steps / cost to convert to automatic?
I know, Im nuts. Humour me.

RE: manual to auto conversion
You need the tranny, ECU from an auto, torque converter, automatic flywheel(flexwheel I think). You can probably arrange to meet with someone from here who wants a 5-speed and they'll just swap with you may be free of charge. (just an idea to kick around)
