I'm swapping from 4 to 5 speed whats different on the clutch flywheel etc anything i need to change out

 

Nothing. As long as it's a cable tranny from the same engine series as the 4-speed you will need to change nothing. This applies to 99% of such swaps.

Edit: there maybe some weird pre-88 spline count issues, which I'm not sure about since I never dealt with them. If that happens just get a clutch disk out of the same year car as the tranny.

 

alright i bought the trany from a dude thst new nothing bout the car it came outa how can i find that out i have the mod number 513-5044361

 

you bought something off somebody who knows nothing about a trans they have... sounds really fishy to me and sounds like you got screwed, post a pic of it, i would never buy a trans from someone who didnt know anything about it, the syncos could be screwed up in it and will pop out of gear.


look for other numbers/letters on the trans like cast numbers

 

ya i figured if its bad just buy a new one i got it for 50 bucks anyway but i posted the numbers they were punched on the top do u know where i can look up whATthAT TRANY IS ILL POST PICS NOW IN A BIT
