Default Neutral safety switch

I'm installing a remote start in my 1995 Honda Civic LX 5spd but don't know if it has a neutral safety switch. Does it? I don't trust myself to leave it in neutral all the time especially if I let someone else drive my car.

you should have a saftey switch. if you have to push the clutch pedel to the floor to start the car then you do. however you would have to bypass it and make sure you leave the car in nuetral in order to use a remote start. my hatch has a saftey switch but i bypassed mine. i hate having to get in it to push the clutch pedel in to start the car while im working on it.

Exactly. Neutral safety would be depressing the pedal, making the remote start useless. Bypassing the neutral safety, you MUST know if you have it in gear or not. There are some high end remote starters out there that have a sensor for neutral on the gearshift. Big bux tho, and I have NO experience with them.
