Hi im new to the forum just gettin started with my 92 civic hatch. It deffinitly needs soem work rite now it has a D15 from a 95 si. with a 5 speed gear box. and im lookin at getting a b16a2 long block. i know the tranny thats in my car rite now wont work with the new engine so what tranny should i get for it. i wnatone thats can handle around 200 hp. thanx

any honda manual is pretty much capable of handiling 200 well...if it's a B16 why not have the B16 tranny? Also why swap if you can boost your current motor and have 200 cheaper?

 

welll id be pickin up the engine for 500 but it has no distributer and no fly wheel. andi want a better base to start with.

 

where are you getting a b16 for 500? thats really cheap IMO and i'de be careful and makesure that its still useable IE: there arent any junk internal parts like rods pistons valves and so on.

double check the condition of the engine before you buy IMO
