Default Oil Seal Replacement

So, while under the civic last night I took a good gander and the underbelly. Only thing I found that I didn't like was the fact that the transmission shift rod oil seal and boot were leaking, ended up using 1quart of fluid to top off the tranny. Not good. didn't look entirely difficult from the outside to replace this, but my flatrate friend suggested that it might be a headache. Anybody replaced this seal?

Check the picture:

you need to remove the bitch pin on da rod by using a punch or something that will fit into it.. and hammer it upward once it removes, you should be able to pick out the seal.. good luck..!

You said flat rate was calling for alot of hours? On AllData it's only callying for 1.2 hours. But if you know anything about flat rate, (which it sounds like you do), then you know how far off they can be sometimes. Like droopy128 it's really not that difficult. And even easyier if you've got a lift!
