Default Rebuilding reliable y8 tranny

Well i am doing an auto to manual conversion on my 1998 DX with a Y8 tranny. I just picked up the tranny for free from a buddy who got rid of his Civic so he didnt need it. I am looking to rebuild it so its in great, reliable condition for daily driving and i want it to be able to handle 200-250 HP with no problems so what should i do? What should be replaced?

if the tranny is in good working order dont replace anything besides the clutch and clutch bearings. the y8 tranny can handle 400whp for a while without breaking... it will handle 200-250 without a blink

well ask your friend if it was grinding any gears when shifting.

if it grinded any gears i would rebuilt it or HAVE IT REBUILT.....

if you have any doubts that you can do it yourself then definatly pay a tranny shop to rebuild it.

no grinds and it had no problems when he was using it.

Would this be good: http://laskeyracing.com/shop/clutch.htm

I was thinking about getting the Street/Strip one.
