Default Shifting point auto

Is there a way to adjust the shifting points in a civic 95 DX auto D15b7 ?
I think my tranny takes too long to shift from gear to gear.

Default RE: Shifting point auto

There is a shift control solenoid on teh trans. If you look on the top of the trans, there are 3 silver cylinder looking things with wires coming out of them. One of these is the shift control solenoid. Its been a while since I've taken a look at an auto trans so I don't know exactly where it is. This solenoid sends the fluid somewhere and it shifts your trans. That oversimplified, auto transes are very complicated. I think its the most complicated automotive system. Anyway, when diagnosing a problem with an auto trans, always start with the fluid. Check to make sure the fluid is bright red. If it is dark or a color other than red, its time for new fluid. The trans runs on the fluid and bad fluid will give you problems.
