Default Shuttering

I have a 95 Civic 1.6 V-tec auto. I was told that my car was the experimental year, when they attempted to put in a manual transmission and have it shift auto. When I'm driving and the RPM's get up to 1500-2000 (about 25-30mph) it begins to shutter. Could it be the clutch?? or just my transmission in general? Thanks
Stefani

automatics. dont exactly have clutches. they have bands that grab onto "gears" and when those slip, it can shudder. im not saying thats what it is, but thats my best guess...

You sure it's the drivetrain? You could just need new plug wires. They can cause low throttle shuddering like that.
