speed sensor need help asap!!!!

ok well im puttin a a sohc vtec in my ef using a tranny out of a 91 crx si. the tranny is missin the speed sensor and none of the local part stores carry it for that year. i was wondering wat will happen if ne thing if i make a plate to cover the hole in the tranny so i can get it on the road. i kno the speedo wont work but will there b ne damage done to the tranny it self??? plz help planin on dropin da motor tommoorw!!!

I know this might not help you.. because its probably totaly different but i had an s-10 that the speed sensor was pulled out of and there was just a bolt in the hole no damage was done... i dont see how there will be any damage to it,

shouldnt be a problem. cause the speed sensor is just that a sensor.

thanks!! i didnt think it would do ne thing but a friend of mine said it would mess up da syncros? (not sure how to spell it) i didnt kno if he was right or jus tryin to sound smart

cant mess up the synchros.. all it is is a sensor that tells your speedmoeter how fast you are going lol
